This unusual young woman is identified as Lucy Elvira Jones by Daniel Mannix, who claims she was born in 1881 and exhibited at the Texas State Fair in 1894. Both she and Ella Harper have elsewhere been identified as "Miss (or Mrs.) Violet".
Double-jointed girl - Johanna claimed to have been brought to this country by Henry M. Stanley in 1888. She was double jointed in the wrists & knees especially [and] ran around like a dog and this shows her as she was in 1909. She had shown with Barnum & Bailey, Forepaw [sic.] & Sells, & Yankee Robinson. (Handwritten biography from the back of one of Lucy's pitch cards.)
