Frances Belle O'Connor was born on September 8, 1914 in Granite City, Minnesota and took her first job with the Al G. Barnes Circus in Sheridan, Wyoming. During her life, she traveled with the Cole Brothers and Sells-Floto circuses and her act included a demonstration of her marksmanship: she held a gun with one foot and pulled the trigger with the other. She had a small role in Freaks in 1932, where she can be seen eating and drinking with her feet. Throughout her career, Frances remained devoted to her mother and supported them both with her sideshow salary. When her mother died, she considered herself too old to marry and therefore died single in Long Beach, California on January 30, 1982.
